I was wondering if Woolie really did back down or not, but now it’s time for more suffering!

I signed up for an account to say as a fan of Reboot there are very few people who seem to remember it in the States that I’ve encountered; I think it may be that it was on the almost too early edge of Toonami’s block back in the day (like 3 or 3:30). Its kinda like how they killed Swat Kats by putting it too early for kids to watch or maybe it was just on the block before it became cool to watch.
Also I enjoy the LP just to see if this thing has more actual cut scenes. That gameplay though looks…painful….

Well, with Reboot in the States, it skews even earlier than that – back to Saturday mornings in 1994, 1995. So you may just be asking the wrong demographic, so to speak.

I’m here to SHARE the suffering, I swear.

Stay strong Woolie, I’m sure that giant snake thing in the loading screen won’t be a cheap and unfair boss.
Just, try to think of the good times, like when Enzo made everybody stupid by mistake, or the Mad Max episode.

“I really assumed that Reboot was something a lot of kids in the States kind of knew”
Oh. OH. And I guess fuck us europeans!
But no, I have never seen Reboot. I think I had heard about it before knowing it was something you liked but I’m not sure.

Woolie, in future generations you will be known as the Let’s Player who died for our sins. Man is this hard to watch as a childhood Reboot fan. I wanted to play this game as a kid so bad but now I realize how wrong I was.

I won’t be like those commenters who say Reboot looks like shit now, because I thought it looked like shit when it was new 🙂 I never watched it, though, so I don’t know.
For me, the Aladdin, Herc and Gargoyles stuff were pretty much strictly Saturday morning. Rescue Rangers and Tailspin were weekdays, though.
Nevermind that the best things on the Disney Afternoon were either not Disney (Batman TAS, which kind of followed in that time slot), or totally original (Gargoyles, DW), but among the actual Disney properties, you had some weird ones.
Also, they often had little to do with the movies they were based on. Tailspin was just Tezuka-star-system-esque in that you took these Jungle Book characters, and threw them into a 30-40s era pulp show featuring air pirates, evil Russians, an Al Capone knockoff, and Lex Luthor as played by Tony Jay. It was actually pretty good,I remember.
Whereas Rescue Rangers was like “let’s make a Rescuers show! Oh, there’s some legal BS. Oh, what’s some useless rodent characters we own no one cares about? Okay. Do it with them.”

The fact that the intro is hype makes it worse

Oh also FUUUUCK this game is bad. xD It makes my stomach hurt! But thank you for playing it so I don’t have to get tummy-sick again.
And yes I did buy this game. I had to, I loved and always will love ReBoot.
