Somehow I feel like literally every decision I made in this episode was the wrong one. Geez Cathy, would’ve appreciated a bit more of a heads up on this stuff.

SOMA doesn’t really judge you; whether or not what you do is “the wrong decision” is up to you.
But you were wrong, yeah.

SOMA is also a game about appearances, and why making assumptions about things based on that is bad.

Am I the only one who thinks the Ark is a terrible idea and that everyone on Pathos II should be ashamed for not realizing it?

That strikes me like the transporter problem. Supposedly, if Star Trek style “transporting” were to exist in real life, it would involve a perfect copy of you being created in another place while the original you is destroyed. In a sense, you’re completely different but exactly the same. It begs the question: is that new copy truly “you” or are you something different? I personally don’t think it makes a difference since the perfect copy of you would make the same decisions as you, have the same moral compass as you, and all around “do you.”
