In my restless dreams,
I see that town.
You promised you’d take me
there again someday.
But you never did.
Well, I’m alone there now…
In our “special place”…
Waiting for you…

This was very enjoyable to watch. I encourage you guys to make a SH3 playthrough.
February 14, 2015 at 10:43 pm
Seconded. I’d love to see a SH3 playthrough also as it’s my second favorite SH game and Heather Mason is my favorite main character in the series.
February 14, 2015 at 11:07 pm
Yes. Silent Hill 2 is my favorite of the series, because I think it’s the best in the series as far as horror, and the best as a game, but I do have a lot of respect for SH2 and I totally see why many people prefer 2. That one-shot you did in the Shitstorm made me eager to see if you ever do 3.
February 15, 2015 at 11:50 am
Silent Hill 3 is my favorite*
February 14, 2015 at 11:52 pm
still got the other scenario to do maybe
February 16, 2015 at 10:21 pm
Hey Stewman109! Would you do a Pyramid head or a Reverse one?
February 14, 2015 at 9:53 pm
These games are so crazily open to so many interpretations that the theories I’ve heard are vastly different the ones Pat mentioned. SPOILERy ones, so anyone reading the comments should really watch the video first.
For example, the theory I heard was that the two Pyramid Heads are supposed to be indicative of the guilt felt by James over Mary and Eddie, though thinking it’s for both Mary and Maria is a valid argument as well, I can see where you’d get the evidence for that.
On this one I think I’m right, though: The Oppressor is James, the Gluttonous Pig is Eddie, and the Seductress is Angela. This is what THEY believe themselves to be, especially since Angela believes everything to be her own fault. Everything COULD just be applied to James, this is true, but there were three graves, so I’m pretty sure it’s the three different characters.
And yeah, totally called you going for the ending you did. Fun fact, and this is known Khaleesi, Guy Cihi himself confirmed it: Mary was in the backseat of the car that James drove to Silent Hill. The creative team had that planned the whole time.
And once again, a playthrough that the glorious Zaibatsu has delivered unto us has made me cry. I agree with Pat that that letter was one of the best voice-acted sequences of all time. Strange thing to thank you guys for, but thanks so much for choosing to be silent during the cutscenes on this one, it really did make this playthrough all the more special.
Now, before I go write my Berserk/Silent Hill crossover fanfic, is Pat gonna continue this streak of playing the good Silent Hill games and only have Matt play the ones that aren’t so hot, ’cause I’d be down with that. Not immediately, of course, take your time, it’s your channel, but know that we’re always up for more brilliant shenanigans from you guys. You did us all proud and I can’t wait for Born From A Wish/whatever you guys continue to do in the future.
February 14, 2015 at 11:05 pm
I think it’s quite conspicuous that this isn’t called Part FINAL. Sooo…I think there’s some more to show for SH2.
February 15, 2015 at 12:16 pm
Yep, the Born From A Wish sidestory. Can’t wait!
February 14, 2015 at 10:14 pm
How is Pat not sobbing after the ending like the big sensitive man baby he is? Cause I am.
February 15, 2015 at 3:12 pm
I was sobbing on the hallway, when Mary said she wanted to die, but then realised how horrible that was. Maaan, that’s tough.
February 14, 2015 at 10:47 pm
Damn it, I have to slightly agree with Pat that the voice acting for that ending was fucking spot on. I honestly started to tear up. Man, why you guys gotta play so many games with heavy emotions like Walking Dead, Last of Us, and THIS. Fuck you for making feel emotions.
(Jk, I love you guys. This LP has been super great and can’t wait to see more of it!)
February 14, 2015 at 10:54 pm
What’s Pat talking about misleading people on the ending? This is exactly the ending I saw everyone in the comments say he was going for.
February 15, 2015 at 12:32 am
If you payed attention to the nuances of what Pat was doing, it was pretty clear.
February 14, 2015 at 11:36 pm
Perfect for Valentine’s day!
February 15, 2015 at 12:02 am
I knew you were trying to trick us with the ending Pat!
I enjoyed this playthrough tons, can’t wait to see you guys play the other scenarios (and maybe SH3?). Also I’m really happy you took your time before deciding to start this, I’ve been watching your videos since the start and I can say it’s been really worth the wait.
February 15, 2015 at 12:08 am
Oh man, that letter at the end was so damn heartwrenching…and then Angels Thanatos comes on and I’m like FUCK YEAH! \m/
February 15, 2015 at 12:34 am
Which got me thinking, what does Pat think about SH:4 The Room?
Just from what I’ve heard about his impressions about the good SH’s, 4 should be pretty high on his list.
February 15, 2015 at 11:51 am
Probably it’s a similar opinion as most. I.E. The Room used to be the worst Silent Hill. It isn’t any longer, not by a long shot. That being said, I never felt like replaying it.
February 15, 2015 at 12:20 pm
He gave a quick answer on Twitter when someone asked, saying that “It’s an experimental sidestory with a really interesting premise that is borderline ruined by poor pacing and mechanical issues.”
February 15, 2015 at 12:35 am
ending is coming guys…
February 15, 2015 at 2:13 am
Pat’s fuck-up with the Great Knife made it even more horrifying, in my opinion.
February 15, 2015 at 2:23 am
Also, replying to myself: everyone needs to watch the ending where James resurrects Mary. *That* is the best voice acting this game has! Mary’s letter is second! <3
February 15, 2015 at 4:08 am
I’d been thinking about this quite a lot… why couldn’t James follow Angela Orosco thru the flames?, my first time playing the game I spend almost all my heal items trying to go after her, just to get burnt alive, also… why “Reprise” is the theme of Angela BUT also a variation of the song played on Maria ending? what if… Maria and Angela are the same character but seen on different perspective? that would explain why pyramid head lost his great knife as Angela gave the knife to James, and both pyramid heads suicide themselves in the end, also notice how Maria and Angela never appear on the same segment from one to the other and how they looked quite opossite, this could mean a change over time or a split personality, also… if Silent Hill is subjective to the protagonist or characters over it, this might as well could be memories out of place, and Maria is just the “avatar of desire” so she just exist for James, as Angela’s mama exist for her
February 15, 2015 at 11:43 am
But what about the ending where James finds out his wife was a dog the whole time and aliens come to adopt the dog and when the dog gets on the spaceship it coughs and the aliens go “we should get that looked at” and then james realizes the dog’s going to die, so he kills himself and the dog takes him into a church to resurrect him. How do you get that ending?
February 15, 2015 at 1:56 pm
That’s in the HD collection, but to get it you gotta play as if you’ll get the Dog ending, but the Kinect/PS3 Camera must be on and looking at you.
If you flinch or cringe even once you won’t get the ending.
That’s why no one has ever documented it.
February 15, 2015 at 2:44 pm
Just go back & contrast Matt’s reaction to this game with Homecoming.
I don’t think that I’ve heard Matt actually be ANGRY at a game like that in any other video.
February 15, 2015 at 3:46 pm
I’d rather watch a SH4: The Room playthrough, because that’s the other Silent Hill separate from 1 and 2 that’s not complete garbage (I don’t remember Pat’s opinion of it.)
February 15, 2015 at 4:48 pm
Hope you guys do the other SH games!
February 15, 2015 at 5:47 pm
February 16, 2015 at 1:12 pm
10 stars would watch LP again.
