I’m anticipating when both of you guys get near the end of this game. This PS4 better last.
You know why this game has an unclear motive when survival horror games tend to have an obvious mission? BECAUSE IT’S NOT A SURVIVAL HORROR GAME. I’ve said this on like every other vid of this LP, but this is just an action/adventure TPS in a horror setting. You can argue that technically it’s a horror game and you have to survive, but that’s like the argument that all games are technically an RPG, so fuck that noise. What defines a genre is the intended emotion and mindset it creates in the player. A survival horror game is defined by making the player feel powerless, thus scared and their focus is more on surviving by hiding/running rather than outright killing everything in your way. This game, however, has the player grow more and more powerful through upgraded skills and better weapons. While it does reward you for being stealthy and taking your time, this is always just to avoid taking some minor damage, and rarely, if ever, is it all that life-threatening.
To reiterate: this is NOT a survival horror game.

Yet RE4 is considered survival horror and its 6x more action packed then this game and you literally just shoot everything.

No it isn’t. RE4 Is considered Action Horror, even by the guys.

I’ve been really enjoying this playthrough. It’s got everything, and the technical hiccups have led to some interesting diversions. (Pat Stares at The Evil Within) and the game is kind of in a grey zone where it has its moments but probably needed some extra polish. All these episodes go by in a flash, haha.

For those of you that care, the magnum can break through the mask on the enemies. Pat did indeed miss all of those shots. Also the rifle can as well. Pat did it in a much earlier episode, he just forgot.

At first I saw a giraffe fetus, now I see a giraffe getting a BJ.

The curse of the Evil Within continues! Soon Matt and Pat will have to resort to Woolie’s PS4 and then TRUE horror will ensue!

Yo Pat. Just FYI Skyrim actually is all a dream, along with the rest of the TES universe. We’ve known that for like…a decade now. Get with the times, bruh.
