Well. I got what I wanted.
September 30, 2014 at 3:04 pm
Well, I have a feeling that by the end of this episode, Pat’s murder boner for Kenny will come to a ropy, streamy end.
September 30, 2014 at 3:19 pm
A little frothy as well.
September 30, 2014 at 4:29 pm
No somehow they still hate Kenny. Too bad he was right about everything
September 30, 2014 at 7:12 pm
Even though he was right about everything to the very, very end they’re still entirely incapable of blaming anything else for anything at all. Disgusting.
October 2, 2014 at 2:41 am
This LP made me go from being a fan of theirs to *personally* disliking Matt and Pat.
Like not just think they’re not funny or kind of dumb or that they can’t understand what’s going on in a story…I feel as though I dislike them as actual people, now.
So I guess it’s gg Telltale? I don’t know.
October 3, 2014 at 3:50 am
“This LP made me go from being a fan of theirs to *personally* disliking Matt and Pat.
So I guess it’s gg Telltale? I don’t know.”
I’ve seen a lot of dumbass comments throughout this playthrough but this one takes the fucking cake.
October 3, 2014 at 8:58 am
Hey, sorry, it was a gross, humorless LP filled with mean-spirited garbage, myopic hatred, ignorant justifications, cascading failures of reasoning, reflection and focus, a complete inability to analyze characters or plot developments, blameshifting the writers when Matt and Pat were unable to understand the basics of what’s going down in the story and direct contempt for their audience.
All of this was conveyed through Pat’s twitchy apoplexy and OCD repetition of phrases alongside Matt’s whiny nasal voice, dejectedly moping like Kenny plans to cuckold him on his wedding night.
It was uncomfortable and awkward and intrinsically unpleasant.
Granted, some people might’ve liked it, but those people are usually the ones who parrot unfunny shit like “salty” or “butthurt” and whose idea of humor rests somewhere between “you referenced a thing I know!” and an Adam Sandler film, so their opinions about quality and taste are as dependable as Pat’s knowledge of Dark Souls.
Git Gud, TBFP.
June 27, 2015 at 3:51 pm
To be blunt, if someone’s opinion on a video game character make you think less of them, then you’re kind of a bad person.
September 30, 2014 at 3:05 pm
And so ends everyone bitching about the Kenny hate
September 30, 2014 at 4:19 pm
Dude, it didn’t even start
September 30, 2014 at 4:31 pm
Doubtful, people like Jane more for some weird reason.
September 30, 2014 at 5:57 pm
Probably not. Since they threw her whole character under the bus, regardless of how she developed, just to make the final Kenny choice challenging.
September 30, 2014 at 10:34 pm
Can’t reply to “The Origami Killer” so i’ll put the reply in here.
I really don’t feel they threw Jane’s character under the bus at the end there.
To me it made perfect sense in terms of trying to make sure exactly where Kenny was. To show Clem, and perhaps Kenny himself, how close to the edge he was.
Jane didn’t want Clem to get involved and actually put the knife away at the start of the fight, she was ready to take a few hits to find out exactly what was going on for sure.
She may have even gone as far as actually telling Kenny the baby was okay after wards, only Kenny never stopped.
September 30, 2014 at 3:11 pm
I always liked Kenny, now I will sit back and watch as everyone jumps on the train I have been riding since season 1.
September 30, 2014 at 3:24 pm
Nice try Liam, we’re not buying it.
September 30, 2014 at 4:27 pm
Kenny was literally right about everything.
September 30, 2014 at 5:56 pm
Now we reach the end. Where we find that 70% of people don’t agree with you. He was wrong about most things, any positive choice towards him was heavily railroaded. Like they guys say, they have to have a character literally murder a baby to offset how shit Kenny is at the last choice.
October 1, 2014 at 10:37 pm
“Decisions toward Kenny were heavily railroaded! Jane was a good person for engineering a deathmatch in a blizzard that put little girls and babies at risk and forcing Clem to kill another protector. Normal people immediately assume Jane murdered AJ in cold blood and his death wasn’t an accident. Nobody who shoots Kenny feel like they made the wrong decision or like they were deceived and manipulated.”
These are things that some people actually believe.
September 30, 2014 at 10:35 pm
I UNDERSTOOD Kenny, for the most part, but that didn’t mean I liked him.
October 17, 2014 at 12:09 am
You’d have to stop the train to let everyone on. Too bad Kenny won’t let you.
September 30, 2014 at 3:13 pm
THE HYPE IS BUILDING!
WILL KENNY GET HIS BOAT?
WILL PAT KILL THE BABY?
WILL WOOLIE STOP STEALING PIES?
I don’t know yet I’ve just started watching it….
September 30, 2014 at 3:16 pm
There should have been an option to kill Mike and Arvo yourself, and Solo End is the only end, TBFP opinions on walking dead characters are a big fat shit.
September 30, 2014 at 3:41 pm
Mike didn’t do anything remotely as bad as Arvo.
Arvo is a prick. Shooting Arvo should have been an option!
September 30, 2014 at 5:59 pm
I like how Arvo shooting you made literally no sense since you were nice to him. But he was just the TellTale Line railroad, Arvo track. His job is to force certain interactions regardless of how you interacted with him. Your choices matter, though! Thanks TellCage!
September 30, 2014 at 10:39 pm
I really don’t understand how Arvo and Bonnie could have convinced Mike to not even try and talk Clem into coming.
What I have to assume the line of thinking was was Clem has known Kenny a long time and won’t leave him, Jane is closest to Clem so won’t leave her so we can’t even TRY to take Jane or Clem with us.
Also Mike and Bonnie had known each other longer than Mike and anyone else but that was with them being on opposite ends of the Carver camp.
October 1, 2014 at 3:36 am
@The Origami Killer
so you seem to think that because you’re nice to someone they are automatically your friend.
I’m sorry but I have some bad news.
September 30, 2014 at 3:22 pm
Who the fuck blames an 11 year-old for not immediately placing herself in grave danger to save a grown man from the ice?
Clem, you should have immediately moved to defused that explosive booby trap, but you didn’t because you’re a pretty little girl who isn’t expected to do anything.
September 30, 2014 at 7:50 pm
A recovered drug-addict named Bonnie.
September 30, 2014 at 10:04 pm
It’s not even about saving him from the ice! YOU ABSOLUTELY NEVER go out on cracked ice with someone else already on it. Luke would’ve made it but that fucking dumbass ran out and killed him.
October 1, 2014 at 9:34 pm
Interestingly enough, if you chose not to crack the ice after Luke and Bonnie went under, they both drown.
Arvo hated Clem because she shot his reanimated sister, he’s been glaring angrily at her this whole time but you weren’t paying attention because you’re whiny babies.
HAHAHA!!! ARVO IS A FUCKING SCUM BAG AND YOU MOTHER FUCKERS HAVE BEEN TOUTING HIM FOR SO LONG. FUCK YOU AND THE CRIPPLED RUSSIAN BITCH! I don’t like Kenny any more than anyone else, but this mother fucker led you sons of bitches into a fucking Ambush, and tried to rob you. But sure, we’ll ignore that shit, just because he didn’t have a gun. Kenny’s an asshole, and a shit lord in most cases, but at least he never fucking shot you! Yet that Russian cunt rag did for no reason, because HE IS A FUCKING SCUM BAG! AND ARVO IS A SWEDISH OR SCANDINAVIAN NAME NOT RUSSIAN!
September 30, 2014 at 3:59 pm
Arvo is not swedish or SCANDINAVIAN
September 30, 2014 at 4:05 pm
I know he isn’t, the Name however is. Arvo isn’t a Russian name. As I stated, he’s Russian with a Swedish or Scandinavian name which makes little to no sense. That’s my point ma friend.
September 30, 2014 at 4:04 pm
Also indeed, fuck Kenny and his insanities… But also fuck Jane, that bitch is crazy for that shit. But I mean fuck me, talk about morale dis-ambiguity this is a fucking chuckle fucking series of stupidity and BS. No one is the villain except for Carver, who almost certainly was talking about forcing or raping Rebecca. “You fucking loved every minute bitch.”
September 30, 2014 at 5:18 pm
I live in sweden and that isnt a name here or scandinavian
September 30, 2014 at 3:43 pm
Pat’s Wrong About Everything the playthrough
Nah, that was Last of Us. 😉
September 30, 2014 at 8:49 pm
You mean Dark Souls 2.
September 30, 2014 at 3:48 pm
Arvo literally shoots Clem and Matt goes “…I’m not sure about Arvo anymore…”
You guys try too hard to stick with the side you initially went with, it’s too prideful.
September 30, 2014 at 4:00 pm
also pat dude you’d shoot a baby to kill kenny? …I’m pretty sure if you were a character in the walking dead games, AND you happened to play this game, you’d call that character an asshole and kill him.
October 1, 2014 at 6:00 pm
Hey I think youre having trouble telling when they’re being tongue in cheek.
September 30, 2014 at 3:52 pm
Welp, good to see you went with logic over emotion in the end. I trusted Jane with my life on that one, and she didn’t fail me. She never did. Also, Wellington totally exists, but the thing people forget is, is it TRULY a good ending? Walking Dead has a seriously bad track record of towns, camps and establishments that are flat out evil (Woodbury, Carver’s camp, the place in the TV series that’s cannibals, etc). Soo….yeah, id much rather run my own madhouse than adapt into a new one.
September 30, 2014 at 4:17 pm
But its called “Wellington” as in all is well there. Im sure they wouldnt lie.
September 30, 2014 at 4:30 pm
Wellington, Ontario. Its an actual place XD
September 30, 2014 at 5:37 pm
Considering that Rick and his buddies are currently staying on the same Safe Zone for like almost 3 years now? Yes.
September 30, 2014 at 9:04 pm
If it was just me and Kenny (yeah I chose him over Jane) I’d have said “Fuck this place, let’s go somewhere else.”
But I was thinking of AJ and, well, can’t pass up a place that can (probably) take care of a baby properly.
September 30, 2014 at 3:53 pm
Arvo DOES hate all of you, not just Kenny. You did murder all of his friends AND his sick sister.
September 30, 2014 at 3:58 pm
To be fair, Jane’s bait was incredibly strong. I would have a tough time NOT flipping out at someone who did that. “Hey, I pretended to kill your family in order to show people how dangerous you are” is unreasonable.
September 30, 2014 at 5:28 pm
He would have bitched her out if she came in with the baby anyway. He’d bitch that she took too long to get in here, and then bitch at Clementine for “leaving the baby” with Jane even though Jane had the baby all along.
I still don’t understand how Matt and Pat could both have failed to see Arvo was a heel all along. I know their perception tends to be hit-or-miss when LPing, but it just seemed so obvious (to me, at least).
September 30, 2014 at 11:04 pm
Because every time you see him mad is when Kenny has just finished beating the shit out of him. Kinda easy to assume he’s upset about that.
November 25, 2014 at 5:27 am
I know. He fucking lead them into a trap, and yet it’s all “Arvo isn’t a bad guy!”.
What the fuck?
September 30, 2014 at 4:01 pm
While I agree that Kenny was terrible; it (almost) annoys me how Pat went out of his way to disagree with Kenny at every turn, and outwardly express his hatred of him through his choices – regardless of if there was a better choice.
That being said, Fuck Kenny, I’m glad he’s dead.
September 30, 2014 at 4:11 pm
By unwittingly giving Kenny his ultimate wish the best friends have become what they have hated most! Hat wearers! quick someone Photoshop Kenny’s hat on Pat
September 30, 2014 at 4:28 pm

September 30, 2014 at 4:12 pm
I was half expecting Kenny to summon a stand to crush somebody with a boat. Even if he did that I would still tell him to go fuck himself.
September 30, 2014 at 4:14 pm
I let Kenny kill Jane and I felt like shit cause Jane is badass and I couldnt make myself shoot Kenny. Now i look at this LP And you guys dont even get any emotions except pure hate. DID I PLAY THIS GAME WRONG
Will someone answer that Phone……….. BECAUSE I FUCKING CALLED IT!!!!!!!……. Ok it wasn’t that hard to see that one coming but still.
September 30, 2014 at 4:24 pm
Kenny was right about his endeavors(truck, boat, Wellington, etc.), meanwhile the choices you made lead to many deaths, fuck ups, and steering Clem down the path to be the next Boatmaster(after all she completed the rite of passage in killing her master). Hopefully the Shitstorm will erase all memory of this, thank fuck it starts tomorrow.
September 30, 2014 at 4:26 pm
you guys should bring Kenny back for the shittribution shitstorm XD
I know it goes against everything they stand for, but they should’ve gone to Wellington. That place is a fortress.
So where’s the people justifying Kenny screaming like a banshee, loudly beating the hell out of a truck, and doing plenty of other reckless things in this episode alone?
I guess you can’t blame Clementine for shutting him up because he did the most “taboo” thing in these kinds of scenarios. Afterall, if you say Arvo deserved as much for doing almost the same things, you can’t really not say you wouldn’t do it in this situation….too bad TellTale just had to try and wrap us all up in “the emotions.”
I also LOVE how TellTale tries SO HARD to force the idea that Jane should be rebuked for what she did. So hard that they didn’t even bother to add a dialogue option that said “it’s okay,” or “I understand.”
I also love random heel turns from Mike and Bonnie for no reason at all. There wasn’t even a strong enough connection developed between Luke and Bonnie to justify her discontent. They just wrote in that she “fell” for him too….how convenient.
September 30, 2014 at 6:05 pm
Luke and Bonnie fucked once, or possibly multiple times, or something.
That’s your TellTale Super-Dooper Character Connection™.
YOU LOVE IT (just joking, you really shouldn’t, it’s dumb)!
Ok i know there is a like of (well deserved) hate for Kenny, but where is all the Boonie hate??????? She has literally fucked over everyone who has every trusted her and on top of that she blames you for not dying with Luke. At the end of the game I hated Boonie more then anyone else I was super disappointed that i could kill her. At least when Kenny fucks up he was at least trying to do the right thing (kinda), But Boonies is on your side until something better comes alone then she stabs you in the back. FUCK BOONIE!!!!!!!!!
September 30, 2014 at 4:33 pm
Man my English is trash lol.
September 30, 2014 at 6:23 pm
Yea, she’s horrible!!
September 30, 2014 at 9:03 pm
Does extreme disappointment and distrust count as hate, because they openly expressed that they didn’t trust Bonnie.
September 30, 2014 at 4:37 pm
OMG THEY KILLED KENNY
September 30, 2014 at 4:41 pm
so was it just me or or was that ginger super evil i mean come on hes a ginger followed by creepy music with a gun and ugly to be nice about it, he was basically pat if pat wasnt a dwarf
September 30, 2014 at 4:42 pm
Too bad they hated Kenny at the end of season 1. It pretty much makes season two irrelevant.
September 30, 2014 at 4:46 pm
I think Arvo was super butthurt you killed his zombie sister. Maybe he didn’t notice she was a zombie, but whatevs
September 30, 2014 at 4:50 pm
He was. He’s just an annoying jerk that doesn’t know what a walker is.
(Also, HE CAUSED THAT TO HAPPEN! She would be perfectly fine if he didn’t LIE and be a prick.)
September 30, 2014 at 4:49 pm
Great, they made the wrong decision. I haven’t even watched the episode yet, and I know they completely ignored what the fuck happened RIGHT BEFORE doing the thing they did. As soon as they saw the option they’ve been waiting to see, they took it, right? Because you know, (supposedly) ending the life of a baby is totally forgivable, but GOD FORBID SOMEONE THINKS OF OTHER PEOPLE AND MAKES ONE MISTAKE YEAH FUCK THAT GUY!
Also, I love how there are a HUGE amount of dislikes on YouTube for this episode. Gee, I wonder why…
(Probably because they decided not to hurt the baby killer but instead kill the person who made one mistake and always thinks of other people.)
***SPOILERS, DO NOT READ IF YOU DON’T WANT TO BE SPOILED, BLAH BLAH BLAH.***
I’m going to do my stupid “watch and add to comment” thing again. Ignore me if you hate it.
Oh boy oh boy, I can’t wait until that certain thing with Arvo happens! That’ll shut them up about Kenny beating Arvo!
“I’m apprehensive about Kenny doing a good thing and people accidentally praising him for it.” Matt, if he were to find a big ol’ houseboat with a years worth of food, electricity, and heat, he’s still an asshole and doesn’t deserve praise? Okay.
“He hates KENNY. He doesn’t hate the rest of us.” Have you guys just forgotten EVERYTHING? He hates everyone but Mike!
And of course, when Kenny has an opinion, or a thought, HOW DARE HE SPEAK IT BECAUSE CLEARLY CLEM IS THE ONLY PERSON IN THE WORLD WORTHY OF THOUGH!
“It’s just the boat, again.” Obviously, Pat. But Wellington is more real, and much better than where they are now…
“Telltale just decided” NO, IT’S BECAUSE HE FUCKING HATES CLEMENTINE OH MY GOD YOU NEED TO PAY ATTENTION WHEN PLAYING THEIR GAMES!
“Just as revenge murder” For what?! Helping you in every possible way?! Yeah, what a douchebag!
“Clem! Thank god!” “WOW, ARE YOU SERIOUS? OH MY GOD FUCK YOU KENNY HOW DARE YOU CARE ABOUT ME WHY CAN’T I JUST SHOOT YOU NOW?”
PAT, she just insulted his FAMILY. His DEAD FAMILY. Then he makes good points saying that Jane doesn’t give a shit about anyone. AND YOU STILL ARE ANNOYED WITH HIM AND NOT HER?! No, HE DOESN’T CARE ABOUT HIMSELF AT ALL!
Oh my god, they make absolutely no fucking sense anymore. He never says a single thing about himself. All he talks about is AJ, Clem, and the group. NEVER does he pick himself over them. For fuck’s sake…
Also, IIRC, Kenny killed ONE PERSON ON PURPOSE. Any other times were self defense. They’re just making stuff up to hate him more!
“You okay? What about AJ? You sure? Clem, you alright?” I guess he still only cares about himself.
“I don’t know how to get through to him. He wont shut his damn mouth.” JANE STARTED THE FUCKING FIGHT!
And yep, because Kenny didn’t control the fucking weather, it’s his fault that there are walkers.
“I have a feeling they’re going for Season 3.” I think they’ll go up to like Season 10. Then make “The Walking Dead 2” or something.
“You’ll see what he really is” No shit, he thinks you just killed the baby! OF COURSE he’ll be super pissed and fight you. God, I have a big problem with that train of thought because it makes absolutely no god-damn sense.
“Sorry Kenny, everyone gets to make one mistake, you’ve made 100.” HE’S MADE. ONE. Jane’s done a LOT WORSE.
Kenny isn’t the villain.
“I totally forgive you, you did the right thing” THE BABY WAS IN MORE FUCKING DANGER OF FREEZING TO DEATH AND WALKERS YOU IDIOT!
Good job getting the bad ending, guys. Good. Job.
“So Kenny continuing to be wrong about every decision!” He brings you to a fucking civilization that has a shit ton of supplies. Yeah, he’s totally wrong.
“Hey Pat. What’s up, you’ve got a good name.” You do too, Patricia. (I’m sorry, I had to)
I know it comes off like I don’t but I still like and respect them both, I just HEAVILY DISAGREE with them.
Plus, the ending with you and AJ at Wellington (BECAUSE OF KENNY.) is clearly the canon ending, or REALLY likely.
Thanks for reading my bullshit rant, please don’t crucify me!
Man, I hope Liam talks sense into them!
September 30, 2014 at 5:09 pm
Hmm, it smells like boats, salty tears and a lot of butthurt over here.
Seriously, what’s up with this wall of furious anger?
September 30, 2014 at 6:07 pm
Oh man, so THIS is what my wall of text (over being butthurt over Pat’s Defender’s Shield-over-hyping) looked like to others.
September 30, 2014 at 6:52 pm
Their are no wrong decisions, just stupid ones.
September 30, 2014 at 7:23 pm
“Kenny killed ONE PERSON ON PURPOSE. Any other times were self defense. They’re just making stuff up to hate him more!”
Immediately after you disagree with him on the murder in season 1, he purposefully doesn’t save Lee when walkers attack and Lee has to fight them off himself. After he catches up to Kenny again, all Kenny has to say is something along the lines of “Well you took care of yourself, didn’t you?”
I’m pretty sure THAT’S when the hate-train started, then couldn’t stop wouldn’t stop. And I can’t help but agree with them on that, frankly.
(Also Matt and Pat didn’t know Wellington was actually a thing, they were playing this for the first time with as few spoilers as possible, so I think they can be forgiven for that at least.)
October 23, 2014 at 11:39 pm
” GOD FORBID SOMEONE THINKS OF OTHER PEOPLE AND MAKES ONE MISTAKE YEAH FUCK THAT GUY!”
Over and over and over and over and over and over and never admits he makes a mistake and when he does he goes on to continue doing it. Yeah God forbid Kenny never learn from his mistakes.
“a HUGE amount of dislikes on YouTube for this episode. Gee, I wonder why”
I know why Its almost like people are idiots and can’t accept that Pat played a video game differently than they did. I got death threats for siding with Jane in my game. So yeah some downvotes on their youtube channel seems a bit tame all things considered.
I’m not even reading the rest of this because its just loudmouth whiny crying over a damn video game. Kenny is not real. Hate to break it to you.
cant belive pat fell for the dream thing what a dumbass
September 30, 2014 at 4:52 pm
Enjoyed this playtrough, don’t let the all the hate get to you guys.
September 30, 2014 at 5:05 pm
Yep, it was really enjoyable.
October 5, 2014 at 5:43 pm
Pretty sure the hate can’t get into Matt’s house unless it has the password.
September 30, 2014 at 4:54 pm
god pat is super cool but i swear he is the most blunt retard ever.
September 30, 2014 at 4:59 pm
I want to see Liam do a play through of this game.
November 25, 2014 at 5:34 am
Liam & Woolie.
September 30, 2014 at 5:10 pm
Jane was a bitch at the end. Who cares who it is, she plotted to kill someone. Kenny mostly did this on impulse. None are better than each other. Also, in the endings with Kenny, he is not wrong, Wellington fuckin exists and they are doing ok. Also, the Jane endings just suck in general XD I went alone. After what happened I said fuck Jane, fuck everyone, I’m going! Something that I never thought I would do 😛
September 30, 2014 at 5:42 pm
She didn’t plot to kill anyone, she plotted to show what kind of a dick Kenny was. Yes that is a bitch move, but it taught many valuable lessons about her (both positive and negative) and about Kenny (all negative). Kenny is the one who flew off the handle without verification of what happened, assumed the absolute worst, and tried murdering Jane – a murder that would have been *entirely* unjustified.
Jane’s endings also are the best anyone can hope for in a world like TWD. Howes is a fortress with the ability to be self-sustaining. Wellington is probably another dream where Clem finally bleeds out and dies of shock.
October 1, 2014 at 12:21 am
She endangered the life of an infant and faked his death to get a reaction out of someone who loved him. How does that say anything good about her?
October 1, 2014 at 1:15 pm
She didn’t endanger the infant’s life, chances are she actually saved it were this a real life scenario.
Kenny was a toxic rageaholic, and Jane decided she needed to show that to Clem, so Clem could make a smart decision. She said there was an accident, and Kenny immediately assumed the worst and got a rage boner and tried murdering her.
Yes, what she did was not pleasant, but it was practical and had value.
Realistically (and without knowing “videogame”), do you want to tie your wagon to the practical person who has shown she is as loyal to you as anyone, or tie it to the person who flies into murderous rages literally every other day and is so hopefully optimistic that he is willing to endanger the lives of everyone around him with terrible decisions and fool’s errands (and then flies into a rage when he is voted down or fails)?
In a post-apocalyptic world, realistically, Kenny gets you killed everytime. Kenny’s actions, whether directly, or indirectly, caused the death of almost every single character he had contact with in seasons 1 & 2, and considering there is no food / supplies and it’s the middle of a crazy winter storm, without the game script, kills AJ at the very least in the search for Wellington (but considering the untended and open wounds Clem and Ken have, both of them as well).
November 25, 2014 at 5:52 am
She almost killed a baby by putting it in a car during heavy snowfall.
they didnt make arvo shoot you so you could side with kenny. if they looked at all the shots of avo each one is an angered face looking right at clementine. he blames you for so much like robbing(sorta) him and more importantly shooting his sister
November 25, 2014 at 5:59 am
He really holds a grudge.
September 30, 2014 at 5:21 pm
ending without going with jane is jusyt clem walking in a field with the baby. a hu8ge horde comes and clem just covers her and the baby in vicera. the last shot is clem walking towards the horde and black.
September 30, 2014 at 5:24 pm
Everything Pat did was entirely justified and the right thing to do.
This goes to show further the reason Kenny is toxic – when he gets angry he has no control. The entire subtext that many people are missing about his character is that he is an abuser. I am 90% certain he would hit Duck and his first wife, which Sarita, who was only with him a couple months, was worried about the same fate for her. Every time he got even a little agitated he was looking for someone to end – Telltale just decided to give “antagonists” for him to channel more of his rage onto, to mask his tendencies toward unmitigated violence.
As for the ending, fuck Wellington. Building something from an already existing solid foundation, from both a food and safety perspective, is a more logical a decision than using the last of your supplies trying to get somewhere that you don’t know where it is, and have incredibly limited resources to get there.
I applaud Pat and most of his choices, he balanced logic and emotion fairly well, though he let logic reinforce his dislike of Kenny too much (partly due to his inability to excise that cancer earlier due to game mechanics). If this weren’t “videogame world” he gave Clem the best chance to not only survive, but thrive in a hostile post-apocalyptic environment.
Good Job Pat.
As for the Arvo hate, while the turn was a dick move shooting Clem – while a forced cinematic, he is immediately sorry he took the shot, was unsure what Clem was doing (and he’s seen her in firefights enough to know she’s competent) and was scared that if they get caught he is getting a 4th, concussion in as many days, at the hands of Kenny, if he’s lucky to survive at all. Few modern criminal courts would be able to convict him of anything beyond negligence, and even that is a stretch.
September 30, 2014 at 6:02 pm
Balancing logic and emotion really well?
Nah, I don’t think so.
September 30, 2014 at 6:06 pm
For Pat? Absolutely.
September 30, 2014 at 6:10 pm
Yeah, Pat definitely didn’t balance logic and emotion well. His modus operandi was “Do or say whatever will piss off Kenny”.
September 30, 2014 at 6:31 pm
Not true. Much to his Chagrin he actually backed Kenny when Kenny was correct on something.
September 30, 2014 at 6:36 pm
Pat even admitted that his hatred of Kenny was guiding his actions, a few vids ago. For the most part, he let his anger towards the character build, with moments of level-headedness in between.
If you think he was equally logical and emotional, that’s fine. It certainly doesn’t seem that way (to me), but we’re free to agree to disagree.

the unimportant options tended toward neutral or antagonistic, but the important options were balanced, whether they agreed with kenny or not.likewise when not dealing with kenny, his choices were good, like the Bonnie / Luke Ice debacle – he clearly stated why it was a bad idea, then watched bonnie exhibit exactly why he said it was bad… then in the aftermath tried to mitigate Bonnie’s fuck-up. Not stealing from Arvo (even though telltale seems to think he did), Telling Walter about Nick etc…

“In conclusion, Kenny was wrong about everything!”
No, he wasn’t. In the ending you missed out on (because of your raging anti-Kenny boner), you can travel with Kenny to Wellington, which ends up being an actual gated community up north, with massive well-guarded walls to keep the walkers out, and enough supplies to spare that they offer you a full bag of supplies when they try to turn you away (saying that they’re already over capacity). Plus, Kenny manages to convince them to let you and the baby enter, at the expense of his own entry and likely his life.
I’m not saying this in any way redeems him for all the murder and shit, mind, but he was totally right about Wellington existing, AND he was totally right about it being a safe haven that’s free from walkers, AND his pleas are the main reason you manage to get into Wellington at all.
By comparison, the ending you got, you’re stuck in the home improvement store with limited supplies, damaged defenses, and there’s a new family of unknowns in your group who are armed and possibly more dangerous than they appear (and before you say “they don’t look dangerous”, let me remind you that you guys loved Bonnie and Arvo right up until they shat in your face, shot you, and left you for dead, so your ability to judge moral fiber ain’t lookin’ too strong).
Again, not saying that the Kenny ending excuses his actions or redeems him, I don’t like the guy myself. But unlike season one, where BoatQuest ends up being a wild goose chase, he wasn’t wrong about Wellington in this season, so you guys missed out on what is arguably the “best” possible ending for Clementine and the baby (in a much safer community with way more supplies and better defenses).
Not that you guys will ever read this comment, anyways, so you’ll never know what you lost out on. XD
But with all of the Kenny defenders on your site, I’m surprised there aren’t more of them commenting on this video. I guarantee they’re gonna try to get “revenge” on you though. Can’t wait to hear your future stories about people going to the same cons as you, cosplaying as Kenny just to try and piss you off. Bonus troll points if they stitch “Boatmaster” into the back of the jacket. Seriously, this needs to be a thing.
