Actually woolie you CAN lose this game, there is a finite number of NPCs whos bodies you can take, when the last one dies, its game over for good. Also, the ending of the game is dictated by how many bodies it took you to get there, at this rate even if you finish you will get the bad ending.

The combat looks unnecessarily difficult without using an exploit though, the AI was blocking everything and then countered with a long combo.

I love when Cage introduces new bullshit that no asks for which creates new plot holes, and then MAKES EVERYTHING WORSE by explaining those plot holes.
It’s also remarkable how that demon who was specifically sent to kill you and take both souls spent three and a half minutes explaining universe mechanics to you. Then, after kicking your ass with no effort because this game’s combat is beyond abysmal, he ONLY TOOK ONE SOUL and fucked off to the void which spawned him. He KNOWS the player has two souls.
This feels like Cage making a parody of himself, except that it predates all the bullshit he’s known for. Is Cage’s entire career a massive performance-art commentary on the games industry?

Ah, and there’s the trademark Kahje mystic fuckwittery. “It’s not so hard to make a Power Rod, except for making it powerful.” Well it’s not much of a goddamn Power Rod if it doesn’t have any power in it, you fucking hack. “A distinction without a difference,” to borrow that line from MK9 I’m still pissed I didn’t think of.
This game is slowly filling me with hatred for my fellow man. Members of my species worked on this trash, and I can’t abide that. Is this the true purpose of Omikron?
