Yah! Both of these games are sick. I remember a few of the Games Done Quick Marathons featuring them. Ranger X is especially crazy with the bike buddy.

I always had the 6 button controller for my Genesis. I didn’t even know they had 3 button controller, but I guess that explains why most games had two buttons for every action

Actually, lasers can totally curve, because, like light, they aren’t necessarily fixed to propagating along a straight line. I’m neither smart nor educated enough to explain it in detail, though.
But as long as rainbows work, so do curved lasers. And that’s not even getting into the realm of, say, plasma or particle beams, which can be bottled and curved by a magnetic field into any shape you want (which is how Gundam beam sabers operate).

Rainbows work by going through a varied medium/prism, the rain. They don’t bend like in the video, they do bend around the Earth, but not quite like how a shell would, nor do lasers actually carry the damage capacity of a shell. That being said, if you know where to look you can find images of repeating galaxies and such because the curvature of light is so intense that the image will bend and come at you from two directions. They’ve also learned how to do weird things like slow or stop light down on command.

Mad props for the Muv-Luv Alternative VN Opening. I thought people forgot about that shit. When I usually talk about Muv-Luv, they think i’m talking about the Total Eclipse anime.

The song is TOO HYPE to ignore.

I would highly recommend playing the game, sir.

Light can bend, lasers are a little more complicated. Because of how lasers work they actually can travel far faster than the speed of light. They can’t bend like what is shown at all, and the stuff from the shows you mention would work relatively like what you say.
Shells would win out against lasers anyways, as a shell has far higher energy potential, lower costs, and are easier to see the manipulating factors

I love how you guys are still pushing the “we’re totally using the original version on its release console, guys, we swear” bit.

A game where you actively praise the sun to get stronger. They knew.

Gundam Seeds’ beams, like all Gundam Beams, are particle beams, there is a distinct difference between Lasers and the standard Mega Particle beams. The reason its BS in seed is because there is nothing that curves beams in Seed, meanwhile UC has had I-Fields and Reflector Bits since the first two shows, so it makes sense when the Shamblo curves beams in Gundam Unicorn.

Woolie the liarer strikes again! He said he would show us the US and JP covers for the 2nd mech game, but he did NOT! However, he did make good on the Vector Canon =)
