This should be the battle for Rank Battle #1. But it doesn’t say Part Final.

He said he might do the No More Heros 2 bosses.

I’ve beaten this game at least 20 times, and I’m finding it fascinating that very little has changed from this version to the Wii Version. I know you can fight Skelter Helter in a “dream match”. but other than that, the game really doesn’t look all that different. Sure, it’s shinier, but that’s about it…goes to show Cell-Shaded graphics looks good no matter what you play.

Uhhh, you’re missing a few bonus NMH2 bosses there buddy…..

Jeane is also really weak against the shadow step. Once I started using that I would beat her with only a couple of hits from her, Sure she only gets hit a couple of times but it is faster than what Matt does

Matt not charging his sword is basically Woolie not dropping his shield.

FUCKING THANK YOU !!

Exactly! I love this LP but I cannot understand why he doesn’t charge his sword. He can see what we see right? It’s clearly visible and in this episode he even starts to say “I have to remember to charge my sword” and then he doesn’t do it. Is he trolling us?

As some mammal who has tested a video game before (I worked on Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare), Matt is pretty much right. With Activision they work with a temp agency (Volt Management) to hire contract testers to test their projects for X amount of months. When I was there (August – November 2014) it was in a building with 13-15 other businesses. Activision owned all of the 7th floor of this building which was the testing floor (or lab, as it were). The office was pretty big and it was a pretty quiet environment. Personally, I worked on the 360 version of CoD:AW, but did also mess around with the PS3, PS4, PC, and Xbox One versions of the game. It was pretty cool to have a Triple A project as my first ever shipped title.

I enjoyed the play-through.

Just wanna say that it’s interesting every time You talk about your experience testing, I have a friend who works at VMC in Montreal and she’s awesome~

I absolutely love this LP.
It’s just great and informative. It really counts to know some inside knowledge about the game. Also, hats off for you for testing. Shit can get pretty rough.
Jeane is maybe my favorite girl of NMH because of that awesome wrestling costume and her moves. Tragic backstories and shit, amirite.
Oh, sneaky Matt. Final Part? I ain’t that gullible.

Semi-Star Wars nerd here to back you up, Matt. They are indeed called TIE Fighter pilots. There’s actually a bunch of different TIE spacecraft. TIE Fighters, TIE Bombers, TIE Interceptors…TIE something-something…I forget the rest now.
Well, I loved this. Much different from the usual LPs. Also, “it’s kind of a crappy ending”? That smoooooth joke, 2gud
Think I’m going to go rewatch the other NMH LP you guys did. Love me some totally-not-a-Lightsaber action!
Huh. The bit about testing sounds interesting. I love-hate repetitive, monotonous stuff, maybe I should look into it.

I knew this wasn’t it aha
February 4, 2015 at 10:14 am
I knew a bit about NMH, but I had no idea there was actually a backstory behind the fast forward. It made that silly fast forward into something much deeper and I’m glad Matt put that warning, it was a bit ‘woof’.

Thank you for slowing it down 🙂

28:35 That fourth wall break just ruined this whole scene. Its not even funny, Its just “hey its a videogame, we know it and that is somehow relevant now but its really not”.
February 4, 2015 at 4:19 pm
A LACK of fourth wall break would’ve ruined the scene. NMH doesn’t take itself too seriously like certain games *Evil Within*
February 4, 2015 at 1:28 pm
Just so you guys know, matt is actually wrong about the tsubaki mk. iii. Once you give Dr. Naomi the Japanese Katana it just takes some time for her to make the sword, so you can use it for rank 2 and 1.

Explanation to everything a little bit odd = Suda51

Jeane’s back story doesn’t really make sense. It makes it sound like she was staying with their father all the time and while I know that there’s examples of people juggling multiple families the time frame doesn’t seem to add up. I wonder if in the 3rd game Suda will revel that none of that was true with Jeane and Travis being given false memories or something with it all being a spoof of MGS4.
February 4, 2015 at 4:20 pm
Off course it doesn’t make sense all sped up like that. Slow it down and maybe even you can comprehend the Garden of Madness.
February 4, 2015 at 2:42 pm
“I’m your father!” Um…are you?
“I’m your half sister!” Um…ok?
“I’m your Irish half brother!” Wait, what!?
February 4, 2015 at 4:08 pm
SUPPORT SUDA AND THE NO MORE HERO! THESE GAMES ARE EPIC! TRAVIS TOUCHDOWN AND MONDO ZAPPA CLASH IN NMH3!
February 5, 2015 at 2:19 am
If you look at the bikes the “Tie Fighter Pilots” are riding, you see the headlights are designed to look like a tie fighter windshield.
As far as the fake UAA thing, I see it as Sylvia did that on purpose to either give him an out or weed him out if he didn’t have the will to finish it.
Am I not remembering things right or did the Tsubaki mk.III not ever need to be charged on the WII. Maybe it was a Naomi upgrade.
