The missing link between accessible controls and competitive depth has been found, and it feels fucking NICE.

The “good special move names = good dick names” parallel rule is still in effect it seems.

I think it’s not easy enough to get League-grade penetration. It needs to be really, really dumb to hit that, and that is a point in Rising Thunder’s favour, not against it.
I’m still not personally very interested in it for some reason. It’s just missing some kind of spark for me. I don’t feel an instant attraction, despite it being robots, and I can’t pin it in place. I mean, it looks great. It looks fine. I just don’t feel anything, watching it happen.

Sweet I was playing this game as a total scrub and this gave me some good pointers. Although I still think I will be scrubbing it up hard most of the time. But I didn’t know about the two buttons for the advance break, was wondering why some people got out of a combo.
Do hope more people start playing it, I felt like I was mostly playing people who had a lot of matches already and/or were into fighting games. And with the training bot standing still it is hard to figure out defences. But they are right in that you easily see what you are doing wrong. And I have to admonish myself from time to time for using supers too much. Except with crow then it is keepaway all day.
But think I need more time in the lab so to say to get some combos and juggles in.
The inputs are a little delayed online. I got a combo into juggle into super in training with crow and got the timing somewhat right. But online even if I hit my super right away the person was on the floor when it came in.
And there either are rage quitters or people with shitty internet. I managed a combo on someone and they were gone. And it did award me the win.

And I must say that I have at least one thing to be proud of. Even against people that were beating the absolute crap out of me I never left, I always did all my matches and took my beating like a man.

I love that finger adjusting motion Dauntless does.
