The number IV became IIII because a prisoner was to be hung at 6:00 but the prison guy was stupid and hung the prisoner at 4:00. True story.

The II and III powerups increase the number of your thrown subweapon can on screen at one time. like if you have the boomerang cross thing normally you throw it and you have to wait til it disappears to throw another, with the II or III you can have that many on screen at once, and you lose the II or III when you pick up a different sub weapon.

Clockwork levels are shit in every Castlevania game. I looked it up, Stephen Hawking wrote a book about it.
