Fuck you Skeleton!
July 25, 2014 at 5:14 pm
Yes! Been waiting for this. Also, getting DS2 today and due to the recent patch I’ve been rethinking my build. Is faith still worth it and if not, any suggestions?
July 25, 2014 at 5:24 pm
it was a mistake by from, it was supposed to be a 25% buff to faith, so the next callibration will bring a 50% buff to faith, guess wollie can cheese his way trough the game with lightning spears after all
July 25, 2014 at 5:41 pm
July 26, 2014 at 11:37 pm
I would recommend a melee faith build. Not relying solely on miracles, but using them instead to heal, buff, and do some ranged damage when some archer prick is plinking at you from across a chasm.
July 25, 2014 at 5:18 pm
this one and the last one all i see is ‘fuck you’ and i’m like 🙁
July 25, 2014 at 5:48 pm
I for one am glad that 75% of the DS videos will have the description “Fuck you”.
July 25, 2014 at 6:14 pm
Well, its really all you need…
July 25, 2014 at 6:50 pm
i fuckin love it.
July 25, 2014 at 5:19 pm
Love the website but it takes so long for things to load for me :'( so laggy
You could try to change your dns to google’s DNS or to OpenDNS
July 25, 2014 at 11:45 pm
That might just be your side. Check your plug ins and clear ache or try a different browser and see if it makes any difference.
Falling off = Bad
(Good tip Pat)
July 25, 2014 at 5:20 pm
Those minute and a half ads are making me regret adding that exception to adblock.
July 25, 2014 at 6:57 pm
Heaven forbid you have to sit through one whole minute to support people that make your free content every day. Oh, the fucking horror.
July 26, 2014 at 1:21 am
Well we can skip them on youtube, so it would be nice they stuck to like 30 sec ones here…
July 25, 2014 at 7:12 pm
Dude you reminded me to let ads run on this site. Thanks!
July 26, 2014 at 8:11 am
What ads are you getting? The ads I’ve been hit with are Xfinity adds that are maybe fifteen to twenty seconds tops
July 25, 2014 at 5:22 pm
Okay, ’cause I was gonna get really butthurt if I didn’t see some fucking DkS2 soon.
July 25, 2014 at 5:23 pm
July 25, 2014 at 5:25 pm
How’s the new website working out for you?
July 25, 2014 at 5:31 pm
Anyone else sick of that George Ezra advert?
July 25, 2014 at 5:34 pm
Ack… this game looks horrid. Wait a moment… so did the first one. On the plus side: at least it’s enjoyable to watch them play it.
July 25, 2014 at 5:37 pm
You’re actually going to try and get the Dragon Chime?! Oh wow. I don’t see that happening to be honest. Remember you can’t summon for that one. But hey, I’m ready for Woolie to surprise me.
July 25, 2014 at 5:44 pm
Yo why did I get a Marakumo sword instead of a soul vessel from the chest with the spooky skeleton?
July 25, 2014 at 5:54 pm
the developers change whats in it once you got the soul vessel with every patch
July 25, 2014 at 6:39 pm
The DLC patch randomized that chest and I think on release it just stayed with the Murakumo. I hear it used to cycle items every now and again before the DLC.
July 25, 2014 at 7:50 pm
They changed the item to a special Black Murakumo to commemorate the first DLC being released. If you warp to Things Betwixed and then back to Majula the chest should reset.
July 25, 2014 at 5:45 pm
about damn time.
July 25, 2014 at 5:55 pm
You forgot about the Sublime bone dust. Also Woolie needs more Endurance and Vig.
July 25, 2014 at 5:57 pm
Drangelic Shield has a defense of 100, though. Literally takes the entire impact of every physical strike.
July 25, 2014 at 6:02 pm
you can take on most of the bosses solo with good dodging, because for most bosses dodging their attacks and perfeclty rolling past them to attack(dragonrider is pretty much made for that) is gonna let you win the fight. ofc you will have to learn the bosses patterns, but once you can do it correclty, it almost comes automatically. or you just summon for the fight and get it over with quick.
July 25, 2014 at 6:04 pm
fucking Spinal kicking ass and taking names no matter what game he is in!
July 25, 2014 at 6:05 pm
Yeah, actually, it is the pigs that make all that noise. The SKELETON WARRIOR doesn’t seem to make any noise at all.
July 25, 2014 at 6:07 pm
holy fucking shit stop telling woolie what to do.
let him do what he wants
July 25, 2014 at 6:08 pm
you guys are shit lords.
fuckin makin me wait an episode for the boss victory
For gods sake level up END guys.
You won’t get far by only having END to roll or hit 2 times
July 25, 2014 at 6:13 pm
I love how the description for the video on here just comes out as “Fuck you”
July 25, 2014 at 6:26 pm
Yeah, it made me think that it was the exact same description as the last one.
July 25, 2014 at 6:23 pm
I know this was recorded a long time ago, buy god damn, when are they going to burn the bone dust…
July 25, 2014 at 6:24 pm
I’m still waiting for a guy with ” Skeleton ” in his name to say “Fuck you Pat!”.
lp asuras wrath
July 25, 2014 at 6:29 pm
hey woolie and pat the old gaint swordmans can be outmaneuvered by walking toward them to the left backing up and then letting them use there last hit then kill them… much easier
July 25, 2014 at 6:35 pm
The last line of the video is really cool.
It’s surprising how there are small lessons scattered throughout the game. The hollows with spears and swords are designed to teach you patience, and precise timing. The Turtle Knights are there to show you how the easiest strategy won’t always be available to you.
July 25, 2014 at 6:37 pm
Hey guys I made a fan website for our favorite Zaibatsu. Its purpose is to set up community events, so fans of SuperBestFriends can play online together!
July 25, 2014 at 6:42 pm
At 27:45, there’s a tiny ledge to the left of the three giant room; with a shield, you can aggro the knights inside then hide on that ledge, they will all fall off the platform trying to get to you. 🙂
Do have a shield up though, since they will be taking swipes.
July 25, 2014 at 6:44 pm
EDIT: I meant 16:30, I was looking at the wrong timecode.
Ring of Binding’s not that amazing honestly, effigies aren’t that hard to come by and bosses love to hit hard enough that 50-75 percent isn’t a huge difference. It’s great for small enemies or group bosses but it’s not the second coming of christ.
Also, it’s possible to aggro the pigs from the rooftop of the mansion, a lot of those bloodstains are probably related to that. I like to take a break in the mansion a lot too.
July 25, 2014 at 6:51 pm
Go go go! Let me hear it! Go go GO WOOLIE! GO GO GO PAT!
July 25, 2014 at 7:31 pm
The Cling Ring is garbage, Pat. They flood you with ways to get your Humanity back. Stop using that.
July 25, 2014 at 7:38 pm
Pat, the Ring of Binding was supposed to be as useful as the Cling Ring from Demon’s Souls, but if you’re actually good at the game, you won’t hallow often enough, especially due to the Life Protection rings, which can be repaired infinitely for 3000 souls. From the late game onwards, and extra-especially in NG+, 3000 souls is chump change.
So while the Ring of Binding is hardly a bad ring, it’s nowhere near the most important ring in the game.
July 26, 2014 at 6:38 pm
Agreed, it’s far better to devote a ring slot to a ring of life protection (soul protection if you’re facing petrification) and forever remain human, than it is to rely on the ring of binding in the long run. True, it’s useful early on, when it’s harder to scrape together 3,000 (or 6,000) souls, but if you’re always human you can have your full life bar and, to my knowledge, you’ll be invaded less if you’re interested in avoiding that.
July 25, 2014 at 7:59 pm
How much will Woolie improve by the end of this series I wonder. He certainly has a lot of room to grow so it should be interesting to see how much skill he acquires from now to end game.
Also Pat, maybe you should try being a little less hand holdy. No doubt you give good advice, but I think Woolie needs to learn more from experiencing.
The mental connections need to be made by the individual in the souls series.
“I died this time because my shield was up when it should not have been”
The whole point of this game is that you die over and over again until you figure out what you’re doing wrong. In my opinion the experience is way different if someone is just TELLING you what you’re doing wrong.
You guys are great though! I still love ya no matter what anyway 🙂
July 25, 2014 at 8:01 pm
I didn’t realize that they’d fill in those pits. The only way I’m used to seeing the Dragonrider boss fight is when it’s over in twenty seconds when he falls into the pit.
July 25, 2014 at 8:16 pm
burn the sublime bone dust already
July 25, 2014 at 8:30 pm
I’d be buying it for the 360, and I don’t have Live Gold.
Is it worth get DkS II, or nah?
July 25, 2014 at 8:31 pm
July 26, 2014 at 6:46 pm
In my opinion, the game is still great and worth playing, even if you can’t go online.
But bear in mind that two more DLC packs are coming out in the next two months, and you might want those too.
July 25, 2014 at 8:38 pm
Video is quite jittery in the mansion.
July 25, 2014 at 9:23 pm
Gotta keep saying it EVERY EPISODE.
BURN THAT DAMN SUBLIME BONE DUST
July 25, 2014 at 10:04 pm
Hey woolie, make sure to burn that sublime bone dust.
July 25, 2014 at 10:10 pm
“you’re gonna be happy with lightning”
destiny is destiny
July 25, 2014 at 10:11 pm
Please just burn the Sublime Bone Dust it’s driving me crazy
July 25, 2014 at 10:53 pm
Dragonrider finally killed someone! Good job Dragonrider!
July 25, 2014 at 11:02 pm
Can’t believe they haven’t burned the bone dust…. D’=
July 26, 2014 at 12:20 am
Why not use the drangleic shield?
July 26, 2014 at 1:46 am
Guys just so you know, i’ve disabled adblock but it still isn’t playing adverts. I do want you guys to gain revenue for entertaining me. Also once again a great video.
July 26, 2014 at 1:58 am
Baby steps, Woolie, baby steps. We believe that you will grow and pierce through the heavens!
July 26, 2014 at 3:43 am
You want the ring of life protection! You wont lose souls or humanity when you die. The only penalty for dying is the 3000 souls it costs to repair it. Just saying 🙂 great playthrough though! Here’s hoping you play the other souls games!
July 26, 2014 at 5:11 am
Pat, you’re awfully good at being Irish…
July 26, 2014 at 1:43 pm
Hate to call Pat out, but Ring of Binding is far from the best ring in the game. Useful against bosses you die repeatedly against, but life protection is better overall because it conserves effigies.
July 26, 2014 at 1:47 pm
Also, holy shit at Woolie getting bodied by Dragonrider.
July 26, 2014 at 2:09 pm
So, is the implication that the skeleton is the DS1 protagonist and that each skeleton that is added in a new game plus is the DS2 protagonist you completed the game with? Because if so, that’s really cool!
July 26, 2014 at 4:29 pm
I don’t think they are protagonists. Skeletons seem to simply be reanimated bones and lacking their soul. Its shown that powerful souls forever manifest in some form, such as the lost sinner porbs being the witch of izalith despite heroul being taken and offered to the lordvessel in da1. I would think the chosen undeads soul is quite powerful by the end of dark souls. That’s the whole point of their journey, to gain the strength to replace the current ruler.
July 26, 2014 at 4:30 pm
July 26, 2014 at 5:54 pm
hhhmm, I played demon souls and got stuck really hard and didn’t have the patience or time to follow through on it. But this series is making me want to try dark souls 1 or 2 and put in some preliminary research before starting up.
July 26, 2014 at 6:30 pm
Wait, the sound inside the mansion isn’t the pigs outside? Are you sure, Pat? Because I’m pretty sure I killed the pigs outside, then went back in the manor to test it, and I didn’t hear the sound anymore.
It’s not the skeleton, so if it isn’t the pigs, then what is it?
July 26, 2014 at 10:49 pm
This game is one of the reasons Pat lost me.
July 27, 2014 at 2:47 am
Can’t wait until they do Crown of the Sunken King.
July 27, 2014 at 10:56 am
This series is a mix between good jon Woolie and “what are you saying Pat, WTH”
July 27, 2014 at 2:58 pm
My favorite LP yet. I appreciate the 20/80 game play to shenanigans in others but like the rare 80/20’s from you guys.
July 27, 2014 at 7:55 pm
Someone should start a counter for Pat saying “you know what I mean?”
July 27, 2014 at 9:41 pm
So I actually pulled a major asshole backdown on the Dragon Rider with my Sasha build by shooting him full of arrows outside the arena, then when I went in all the damage added up on his bar and I finished him off
July 28, 2014 at 10:30 pm
I don’t think that’s assholish at all, its like real life, if you fight a guy bigger and stronger than you, you don’t go toe to toe with him, you jump on his back and choke him out.
July 28, 2014 at 10:50 pm
I can’t believe the lack of hype I am hearing when they put on the Drangleic Mail! It is essentially Guts’ armor (the red cape and subdued colors give it away)! It should also be noted that the Mail outperforms other armors of its weight class, making it one of the best armor sets in the game. However, since they are not a pure physical build, it makes sense for them to hold off on using it.
July 29, 2014 at 9:17 am
i actually got a great sword from that chest down in the basement.
July 29, 2014 at 10:53 pm
Yeah that chest changes items like every week or something. So go back and check it again in the near future.
August 1, 2014 at 4:29 am
