The showdown with Plague of Gripes you’ve all been waiting for is finally here! Can we possibly hope to defeat his lag powers?!

Oh God, the Plague instant transmission, beautiful man
September 29, 2014 at 9:32 pm
Woolie the thief stole victory
September 29, 2014 at 9:36 pm
First the prisoner’s tatters with no item discovery, and now that hammer bastard did his slow overhead over and over. God damnit Woolsworth.
September 29, 2014 at 9:46 pm
And so it begins!!
September 29, 2014 at 9:47 pm
Guys, wait a second. I gotta pop some Crestor and then I’ll be ready to roll.
September 29, 2014 at 10:09 pm
Okay, I know I posted already, but I need to do it again.
Pat, I will fight you. I will internet fight you about the roll thing. Look at Woolie’s equip load before and after he puts on the caestus…es. The difference is negligible. The amount of roll distance lost will be negligible, if anything at all. The I-FRAMES ARE STILL INTACT. If Woolie wants to waste his time with fist weapons, let him do it. It’s not going to affect his roll, dude. Learn the roll lore. You keep freaking out about his roll when it’s fine, and he’s gone almost the whole playthrough with just the bare minimum equipped because you think the roll is going to be impacted negatively. It is not. What you are trying to maintain is a negligible roll distance advantage. Please see this. In this case, the extra load would have no negative effect. Just tell him he can use claws instead, so he can be an actual predator, and let him mess around with his little roleplay.
Remember, this isn’t Dark Souls 1. The roll is different here. I’m sorry if I’m being annoying.
I agree completely about the drakekeeper with the giant mace/hammer, though. Even though he got nerfed, in that particular battle, Woolie got lucky. The drakekeeper simply didn’t play his pressure game.
I also didn’t know about the dragon eggs and the bridge. Nice factoid.
September 29, 2014 at 10:22 pm
I totally agree, pat has been freaking out over things like that the entire let’s play. He has earned the ire of every souls player in the audience at this point. Side note, plague deserved a win. Perhaps when the dlc playthru happens, his new pc will insure woolie is torn a new woolie hole.
September 30, 2014 at 2:17 am
A lot like my Drakekeeper’s Shield vs. Pat’s Defender’s Shield.
If you didn’t read that long-ass comment, I basically blew up on Pat’s Defender’s Shield-hyping, when Drakekeeper’s is technically better (it was dumb).
You are completely right about the negligible difference in rolling, but it’s Pat.
…”it’s Pat” is my only argument here :l
September 29, 2014 at 10:23 pm
Can’t wait to see the animated rendition of that fight. Also the artwork. Fantastic =D
September 29, 2014 at 10:59 pm
If you want to replicate the old giant hammer drakekeepers play on the PC version where their animations run at double speed due to one of the many FPS bugs.
September 29, 2014 at 11:41 pm
they are playing the pc version
September 29, 2014 at 11:00 pm
Plague of Gripes, the HYPEST of jump scares.
September 29, 2014 at 11:04 pm
After seeing Plague’s perspective first I was still totally unprepared for what happened on Woolies end.
September 29, 2014 at 11:14 pm
“WOOLIE, WOOLIE, WOOLIE!”

At times… i really do wish that Eli could be the 5th memeber of the Zaibatsu, I guess in spirit he is always there…. *Invaded by dark spirit Plague* …not quite what I had in mind. But it works.
September 29, 2014 at 11:24 pm
Jesus that was the scariest crap ever. Plague with his damn farm-lag powers…*shudder*
September 29, 2014 at 11:32 pm

Plague of Gripes invades his way to your hearts for Smash
September 30, 2014 at 12:08 am
I almost regret I saw Plague’s video first, cause that jumpscare was priceless, it’s even better from your POV than I could imagine by watching his video. Also, Woolie doesn’t even know how lucky he was there…
Love the new armor tho!
September 30, 2014 at 1:28 am
Damnit Plague you could have taught Woolie a lesson.
September 30, 2014 at 1:49 am
I guess you could say that this plague…
September 30, 2014 at 2:05 am
That “Hello” carving throw by Plague was great.
September 30, 2014 at 2:34 am
HOOOOOO-LY SHIIIIIIT, THAT PLAGUE-JUMP!
Fuckin’ made me jolt up in my chair >.<
Navlaan doesn't respawn if you've killed him (in the area), Pat. Unless you were just referring to him invading in different areas. If that case, then my bad, and disregard.
Also, my cousin (a fellow Souls enthusiast) tested that bridge mechanic, and he told me that you have wait around a minute for said mechanic to actually take effect. I believe it's shown in a couple of videos reviewing the game.
Kind of lackluster, unfortunately.
And lastly, a little fun fact: that was actually a Drangleic PriestESS, not a priest 😛
September 30, 2014 at 2:53 am
Truly, the arena of titans
September 30, 2014 at 4:49 am
The mace drakekeepers can still put together infinite attack strings. They’re just way less likely to do so now.
September 30, 2014 at 8:31 am
Dat lag tho……
the scariest thing in Dark Souls 2 history

September 30, 2014 at 2:22 pm
wtf is Plague an SCP?
September 30, 2014 at 5:14 pm
Our darklord may not have spilled your blood today, but you are in luck, for in the glory of Plaguemas, even you may be forgiven.
Theory time: I don’t think the drakes being called dragons is a lie per se. I think (and this is totaly baseless) that dragons have been gone for so long that humans no longer know the difference. One day they stumbled upon a huge fire-breathing lizard and thought “welp, that fits the description of those dragon things I heard about, so that’s probably what it is”.
October 1, 2014 at 5:26 pm
that theory actually makes a lot of sense, i can totally see that being the explanation
October 1, 2014 at 6:33 pm
I figure it doesn’t make much difference to the average mortal. The big difference is that dragons are immortal, and drakes a little less so. When talking about beings that live almost forever, that distinction is lost upon humans
October 1, 2014 at 9:34 am
yeah. woolie you’re really gettin the hang of it. i know there won’t be an ng+ vid but i look forward toa souls 1 vid. people are all about this franchize for a reason. the best friends are some of my favorite shit on the internet.
October 1, 2014 at 9:51 am
You thought Woolie was going to attack an enemy from afar with his crossbow, but it was I who was standing behind him, PlagueofDio!
October 1, 2014 at 5:22 pm
