September 14, 2014 at 3:47 pm
whos embarrassed? you? why do you think I care? why are you embarrassed? why are you judging me with such conservative ideals? your a hippocrit the fact that you called me a childish slang means that in another situation you would do the same. maybe you should reevaluate your life and apologize for insulting me.
Woolsworth takes his first steps towards Hyrule Castle. ~sniff~ I am so proud.

September 13, 2014 at 9:37 pm
“rocky horror is overrated”…okay, now i gotta kill pat. “big lebowski is overrated”…NOW I GOTTA KILL WOOLIE!!?! WHATS WRONG WITH YOU GUYS??
September 13, 2014 at 11:02 pm
How dare they think for themselves and not let the masses decide their tastes!
September 13, 2014 at 9:58 pm
to be fair, giving early game infinite repair powder would have trivialized the new threat of breaking weapons and armor, which would have taken away from the intensity of this game which was sort of lacking compared to DKS1 in the first place~
September 13, 2014 at 10:01 pm
I don’t find I ever need it anyways I enjoy switching between 2 or 3 different weapons.
September 13, 2014 at 10:00 pm
Oh Pat and Woolie you can have whatever opinion you want about stuff as long as you don’t try to pass it off as fact. Also there are only 5 Ruin Sentinels in that room and I always found it weird how they will respawn in NG but on any NG+ they don’t, which is useful since the stone soldiers are an excellent infinite source of titanite slabs =)
Man, I wish Pat didn’t tell Woolie about the Sentinels. That would have been an amazing moment of discovery. Then again, it would mean that room turned into a shitstorm caliber death trap, so I guess it is a good thing Pat said something.
September 13, 2014 at 10:08 pm
It’s cool, Pat. I think Rocky Horror is pretty overrated too. There’s some good songs in it, but I sure don’t get why people go to screenings in costume and all that junk.
September 13, 2014 at 10:21 pm
WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT PAT
WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT PAT
WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT PAT
September 13, 2014 at 11:11 pm
Probably because it’s a little too hard to do with most weapons and shields and trying to go for it will get most people into more danger/hurt more often than it will work out. Yes, it’s awesome and powerful when you successfully pull it off, but if you can not do it reliably then you are hosed. Where as, if you were using a shield with 100% physical blocking and good stamina management you would be much better off in most cases. Also, online lag/bad connections detract from it’s useability.
Like Plague said in one of his “Let’s (not) play Dark Souls 2 “vids, if they made it where you could do it more reliably, but with a less reliable/guaranteed kill/crit follow-up, it would be more desirable and worthwhile pursuit. But as is, better to blocking and/or rolling is better and more reliable.
September 13, 2014 at 11:31 pm
September 14, 2014 at 9:37 pm
Yeah, I don’t expect or want him to learn, but parrying is the strongest thing in the game and is real satisfying. Also, I think Plague’s right, to an extent. If it was easier to do it, PvP fights would be more boring. It’d just be a backwards-forwards parry and riposte until someone dies, and PvE would also see most of the enemies on the floor.
September 15, 2014 at 7:16 pm
IIRC with the “make parries more reliable, but less rewarding” thing he was saying making a sucessful parry result in a stagger or something similar rather than the “knock down on the ground and attack for crit” that is currently in.
The main reason that parries are hard to do as is is because they are so powerful and rewarding. Lowering that enough to be do able and viable would definitely require the lessening of reward.
September 13, 2014 at 10:25 pm
Pat you dirty girl, you’re just asking for it
September 13, 2014 at 10:52 pm
I never thought I’d hear Pat and Woolie argue Eggs vs. Rocky Horror Picture Show.
September 13, 2014 at 11:06 pm
It’s like a big upside-down squirrel, sir.
Jesus Christ that scares me!
September 14, 2014 at 12:20 am
An Eddie Izzard reference? In my Dark Souls 2 LP?
…I’m pretty okay with this.
I’ve never watched Rocky Horror…or Big Lebowski…so…you’re opinions do not offend me I guess.
Also, Pat: Woolie is now on unkown territory. Helping him is fine, but let him experience new areas at his own pace. Or don’t, what do I know.
September 13, 2014 at 11:12 pm
I want to see how Woolsworth handles the Darklurker, one of the most bullshit boss fights in the entire game, that you can easily win and then immediately lose. Join Darkdiver Grandahl and light the fires in the dark! C’mon, you’ve got nothing to lose…although, being online may cost you…maybe not join.
September 14, 2014 at 8:19 am
Except Darklurker’s a joke.
September 13, 2014 at 11:38 pm
Holy shit, Pat, I don’t know how the hell you manage to stay alive drinking all that Red Bull shit. Man up, dude! Have some actual coffee, you’re still getting caffeine and your dick won’t fall off, like all those drinks are probably gonna make it to fall.
September 14, 2014 at 12:04 am
It’s okay Pat I’m not fond of Rocky Horror either.
September 14, 2014 at 12:33 am
Wools, did a real guud job here.
September 14, 2014 at 12:34 am
Too, good- almost like he’s made a pact with satan.
September 14, 2014 at 12:39 am
Ey yo Pat, you farmed the the black knights for chunks? what are ye some kinda ninny? Farm those Dark Wraiths you dope. Farm some babies while your at it. 1-800-eat shit cuz you never had the feeling of ninety-nine warm humanities buzzing around underneath your skin.
September 14, 2014 at 1:19 am
Let the madness begin.
September 14, 2014 at 1:26 am
Aww no sweet skybox….=_=
September 14, 2014 at 1:27 am
is ok Pat & Woolie, everyone has the right to think a good thing is overrated, like shields , Also this is the episode where we can fully see the differences between happy cleric Woolsworth who wanted to have adventures & the now God-less full of darkness Woolsworth who became so fearsome he must hide behind the mask of the Lost Sinner…
Ok now i got my head up from my ass XD but still a huge difference from having to lame out the sentinel fight & now can kill 5 sentinels no problem
September 14, 2014 at 2:01 am
Can’t wait till they play the DLC 😀
September 14, 2014 at 5:02 am
Kinda miffed Pat told Woolie about the bonfire. I really hope he learns to step back and let Woolie play the game now that we’re in an area that’s new to him.
September 14, 2014 at 5:25 am
I’m so ready i haven’t even picked up my fucking shield. I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN, PAT <3
September 14, 2014 at 2:03 pm
Woolie should totally try a lance. I think he might enjoy those.
September 14, 2014 at 4:38 pm
Oh Wooly, you so crazy.
September 14, 2014 at 4:59 pm
Yeah, my experience with that room was pretty much the worst.
I didn’t understand that the souls of my enemies were activating the golems and doors. I’m not even sure how I got into the castle. I just kept fighting outside until the doors opened. Then I missed the bonfire and ran around the room activating all the doors, so I got double-and-triple-teched by the Ruin Sentinels. So I had to run all the way back, and only then did I find the bonfire. It’s so stupid, why didn’t I just open the door the first time?
In the end I had to summon some help in order to clear the room out completely and find Grandahl.
September 14, 2014 at 10:56 pm
I always approach big rooms like there going to be a trap, you dont know what you might trigger.
September 15, 2014 at 6:00 am
The description for this episode should have been
Just do it
The line repeats twice
September 15, 2014 at 8:32 am
Rocky Horror Picture Show sucks…
September 19, 2014 at 3:57 am
I thought Big Lebowski was really overrated too. My roommate in college made me watch it and I actually couldn’t even finish it. He was super butthurt.
