So basicly what this game is trying to say is that, if we just learn to do sick combos, we can survive any manner of undead related apocalypse!

May we never forget his Taco Bell tattoos and weird way of holding soda cans so that the logo is visible.

The female character’s sprite is straight up Kurokishi from Makai Denjin II, another absolutely fantastic beat-em-up.

So, woolie basically had a dream about the last part of raidou vs the soulles army, just with zack instead of gouto. BTW the zaibatsu should do a let’s play on it, because that game is fucking awesome.

The awesome music that plays during the scene where the heroes run after the carriage is from the first level of Metamorphic Force, a really great, standout arcade beat-em-up.
The “werewolf” boss from the first level is, believe it or not, from Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon, a beat-em-up that had some pretty decent enemies, but really fell flat in the moveset variety department. The boss is actually a cat that gets turned into an evil mutant by the antagonist.
And luktense already gave the skinny on Kurokishi and Denjin Makai II. REALLY great game, that one.
When I saw this go up, I didn’t see the “x” at first. So glad you picked this version.
One last thought, if there’s any one thing I agree with Liam on consistently, it’s beat-em-ups. He is so right when he says the genre isn’t coming back because no one is trying. And every time they do, the miss the mark big time. Scott Pilgrim, for instance, not only has flaws, but FATAL flaws. All anyone has to do is check out the Streets of Rage games and then DO THAT. Gee whiz. Devs, why is that so hard for you?
